Netflix not working on Android

Last Updated: Nov 02, 2015 03:04PM EST

From version 3.7.2, Netflix has started using Forced Google DNS lookup for the Android App. This results with the Netflix App ignoring any DNS server information you entered on your android device, or on the router and instead uses the Google DNS information. The subsequent affect is that Tunlr would not work unless you revert back to the Netflix App version 3.7.1.

Getting Netflix working on Android:

The easiest way to get things working is to go through the following steps:
  1. Check the version of the Netflix App on your android. If it is version 3.7.1 or earlier continue here. If you have a later version, continue to the next step.
  2. Install version 3.7.1 of the Netflix app. Click here to download the latest version that works.
  3. Double check that you now have version 3.7.1 of the Netflix app.
  4. Everything should now be working. If not, click here to use our troubleshooting guide.
